- Herein if the birth or Marriage or Death has Happened in colombo District only at such occasions releveant certificates shall be abtained at divisional secretariat office colombo.
How to Register a birth ?
- An ordinary birth shall be registered prior to exceeding month from the date of irth by visiting the registrar of birth registrtration of the relevant division.
- For births exceeded three month relevant informations shall be obtained from the additional district registrar for registration of such births.

How to get windows orphans pension after the death of the civil pensioner ?
- Firstly the pension will be ceased after obtaining the death certificate of the pensioner.
- Letters will be sent to the bank if there is extra amount of money.
- Afterwards relevant person will be informed to produce following Documents .
- Original copy of the Pensioner's Death Certificate
- Original copy of the widow's Birth certificate
- Original copy of the Marriage certificate
- Photocopy of the Bank passbook belongs to widow

Reasons for ceasing the pension of a pensioner ?
- Pension will be ceased if the living certificate for the relevant year has not been submitted.
- If the living certificate is submitted by the pensioner he will be asked to produce it with the Grama Niladhari's affirmation.
- Afterwards when approprivately complete living certificate has been submitted the pension will be restored.

- It is explained to the heris of a deceased person that according to the widows orphans pension Act, when a person who had been entitled to widows orphans pension died although there is a payment or arrears duly paid to the pensioner there is no legal provisions in the Act to pay such dues to the pensioners;s heirs.
